DFC Architects, PC was established in Winchester, VA in 2006.  Principal Architect Donald Crigler holds active Architectural Registrations in Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia, as well as an NCARB Certificate.  He has held an active Architectural license in Virginia since 1976.

The office offers full service Architectural and Engineering design and consulting services to a variety of clients including developers, builders, and private owners.

Don’s commercial experience includes light industrial, retail, community recreational buildings, and private schools.  Over his 30 years of experience his firm has always been known for the completeness of plans and practical approach to building design while providing functional spaces and attractive exteriors.

Don has designed single family homes and town homes throughout the Washington DC metro area.  He has also worked with individual homeowners to design additions and new homes throughout the Mid-Atlantic states.  His multi-family experience includes both apartments and condominiums, as well as Assisted living facilities and Nursing Homes.

Tim Newman joined the firm in 2011 and became a partial Owner in 2014.  He graduated from Virginia Tech in 2002 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Prior to joining DFC Architects, Tim worked on custom residential and light commercial projects for 8 years in Middleburg, VA.
